What it is:

This unique blend of ASA-CF and Gold pigment provides the strength of a normal ASA-CF with the attractiveness of color filament. Texture is similar to normal ASA-CF but less noticeable because of the color.  Contains 15% CF, recommended for nozzles over 0.5MM and abrasive resistant.

Specs:

3DO ASA is a UV-resistant and weatherproof copolymer designed for industrial uses.
It has a high level of process dependability and is well suited for mechanically stressed components. It's an electrically insulating substance.
The layer adhesion, thermal stability, flow characteristics, and warping tendencies of 3DO ASA have all been optimized.
The raw material has been authorized in accordance with REACH and RoHS regulations.

Wet, weak, and not slightly gold

First, the 3DO Purple ASA-CF looks fantastic and prints smoothly with pretty decent layer strength. It also arrived slightly wet, but both rolls spent 12 hrs at 60C in my Polyphemus dryer.

Compared to the purple, the " gold " as weaker layer adhesion when printed with the same parameters at the same temp in an actively heated chamber.

I took a photo, that I apparently cannot upload, showing that the " gold " is almost a dead ringer for Fusion Filaments Cosmic Magnetism Gray. If you hold it at the right angle in just the right light, you can see a bit of difference with the " gold " being a bit more of a brown gray than The Fusion is. They're nearly identical, though.

It's not unusual for ASA to come in wet. So I'm not really going to dock the stars for it being wet, although some manufacturers seem to be better at managing this. The filament is fine, as long as you know what you're getting with the color. If you like the Fusion Cosmic Magnetism Gray, but wish it had a slightly warmer tone, then this is your baby.

Packing by Fabreeko was flawless as usual.

Great look, functional material, and prints easy.

First Benchy was perfect except for my fan being 10% too high. Even with the excessive cooling this stuff printed cleanly, accurately, looked great, felt great, and no warping off the plate.

Seriously though, the physical appearance of this filament when printed is one of my all time favs.
