What it is

This is a Revised version of the Rapido 2 with the idea of making it ready to print abrasive materials like Fiber glass or carbon fiber straight out of the box and reliably. it uses an RCC coated all metal heat break for improved wear resistance.

Specs: <More 2F specific info will be posted soon>

  • PT1000 thermistor
  • UHF type hotend
  • New heat block design features a larger melt zone to suit the demands of high speed and high-temperature printing.
  • Evenly heated thanks to the cylindrical ceramic heating unit
  • Integral frame rigid structure of titanium alloy screws makes lower heat conductivity possible and realizes the function of one-handed nozzle change.
  • Thin-walled heartbreak, eliminating heat creep and clogging while realizing excellent thermal insulation.
  • Unique structure design makes fast switching between high flow and ultra-high flow printheads possible.
  • interchangeable design of different types of nozzles suits the demands of high temperature and fiber filaments printing.
  • UHF variants come with two harden steel nozzles

** Rapido has a draw of up to 105.7w  depending on the ambient temp. changes to your firmware or wiring might be necessary to support the unit**

Unclear about information

I love this hotend except - I also loved my Rapido 2 UHF.

First of all, the title of this product leads one to believe intuitively that it is inferior because of the "2F". Given the previous labels such as "UHF" and "HF" or "Rapido 2 HF", it kind of conveys the idea that this is a "Rapido 2 - Standard Flow rate" hotend, which it isn't. It is an upgrade to the Rapido 2 UHF.

I will also add, the marketing materials included in the listing seem to advertise that this hotend reaches a groundbreaking "36mm/s" which the previous product (the Rapido 2 UHF) would like to have a word with it's claimed "75mm/s" flow rate.

A manual inspection would indicate this is mostly identical to a Rapido 2 UHF hotend with the added benefit of fiber based filament wear resistance, but the lesser stated flow rate is off-putting.

Maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about - I allow for that possibility, but I do wish the information provided by phaetus was a little more clear.

Other than that, the hotend is very very nice. My Rapido 2 UHF had eventually given in due to user error on my part(turns out having the nozzle being erroneously forced into the bed multiple times isn't kind to it's heatbreak tube), so I had to replace it with this. I'll note that the overall print quality does seem slightly better than the 2 UHF, but that may be all in my head.
